(1) Trademarks

AVCHD Related Logos are trademarks of Panasonic Corporation and Sony Corporation. The use of AVCHD Related Logos are allowed on the Licensed Products and related materials, in accordance with gAVCHD Format and Logo License Agreementh.


(2) AVCHD Related Logos license

AVCHD Related Logos, including the gAVCHD Logo" will be licensed with AVCHD Format Specifications.

License is for the following product categories:

AVCHD Video Cameras
AVCHD Players
AVCHD Software
AVCHD Archivers

[AVCHD]
Products that comply with gAVCHDh standards and for which permission has been obtained in a license agreement (However, products for which permission has been obtained as AVCHD-compliant video cameras must be target products having video recording and playback functions that satisfy 1080 image scanning lines and at least one specification, namely, 59.94i, 50i, 59.94p, 50p, 24p or 23.976p images per second.

[AVCHD 3D]
Products supporting stereoscopic video recording and playback that use Multiview Video Coding (MVC, defined in ISO/IEC 14496-10/ITU-T H.264) to encode video.


AVCDH


[AVCHD Progressive]
Products supporting video recording and playback with 1080 image scanning lines and 59.94p or 50p images per second.


AVCDH


[AVCHD 3D/Progressive]
Products supporting both 3D and Progressive video recording and playback.

[AVCHD Lite]
Products that comply with gAVCHDh standards and for which permission has been obtained as AVCHD-compliant video cameras in a license agreement. However, the products in question must be target products that do not use Multiview Video Coding (MVC,defined in ISO/IEC 14496-10/ITU-T H.264) to encode video and that have video recording and playback functions satisfying 720 image scanning lines and at least one specification, namely, 59.94p, 50p, 24p or 23.976p images per second, without having video recording and playback functions at a higher image quality than the number of image scanning lines and images per second in question.

(3) Use of AVCHD Related Logos for product categories which are not licensed

The AVCHD Related Logos may not be used on product categories which are not licensed, such as signal converters (Hardware) or recording media etc.
